Wool Sale 30 November 2017

MARKET REPORT: Prices were erratic at today’s South Island Wool sale. Finer crossbred types destined for China saw exporters very selective with their purchases. Coarse crossbred fleece showing discolouration struggled to find a level with limited competition.

A small offering of Merino wool saw prices maintain their upward movement with the mid micron types very erratic on a limited offering. Older wool is starting to come onto the market that has been on hold for sometime which is seeing the market struggling to accommodate this supply which is mainly due to the quality.
