Calendar Photo Competition Terms and Conditions
All entries must be made online via the Carrfields Primary Wool website: www.cpwool.co.nz/calendarcomp
All entrants must be over 18 years of age.
Employees and contractors, and their immediate families, of Carrfields Primary Wool Ltd (the promoter), its associated companies and advertising agencies are eligible to enter.
Entry into the competition is deemed acceptance of these terms and conditions.
Entries must be the original work of the individual entering the competition. You may not enter the competition on behalf of another person.
Entries cannot be entered into any other competition until the outcome of this competition is known. Winning entries may not be submitted in any other competition.
All entries must be captured within New Zealand.
Only original entries will be accepted (no photocopies or scans).
All entries must be landscape-oriented, colour images.
All entries must be suitable for high quality print production.
A low quality entry may be submitted online to enable ease of upload; however a high quality version must be available for final judging.
If an entrant cannot supply a high quality file and the original entry is too poor a quality for high-resolution printing, that entry will be deemed ineligible to progress to final judging.
The winners will be notified by telephone or email. Inability to contact the winner within thirty days of selection will result in the prize being forfeited. An alternative finalist entry will be selected to receive the prize and be included in the 2017 Carrfields Primary Wool calendar.
The winners consent to their name and photo being used for public relations purposes relating to this promotion.
The judging panel’s decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into.
Storage and Consent
Carrfields Primary Wool reserves the right to store electronically any entries submitted by entrants and to use the winning and all other entries free of charge in any of its online and print publications for a period of ten years, noting that once printed images are permanent.
Carrfields Primary Wool and the photographer will jointly own the copyright of any submitted entries.
Any persons photographed in an entry must have given consent to be photographed and the appropriate written consent documentation completed in full and provided to Carrfields Primary Wool.
Any persons photographed in an entry who are under the age of 18 must have the appropriate written consent documentation completed in full by their parent/guardian and provided to Carrfields Primary Wool.
Any property photographed in an entry must have the consent of the property owner and the appropriate written consent documentation completed in full and provided to Carrfields Primary Wool. Property that is unrecognisable in the entry (e.g. an extreme close up or an aerial view of many properties) does not require consent. Photographs taken of public property do not require consent but an address must be provided. Carrfields Primary Wool reserves the right to establish whether or not consent is required.
Failure to provide documentation of consent for photographed persons or property will deem the entry ineligible for final judging.
All winning entries will be used in the 2017 Carrfields Primary Wool calendar, and may be used in other promotional material. The photographer gives their permission for all entries to be used.
All entries submitted will be visible on the website for all entrants to view in a photo gallery which will show a random selection of entries.
Carrfields Primary Wool is not responsible for entries that go astray.
If an entrant fails to adequately fill out the entry form and/or submit an entry, it will not be accepted into the competition.
All entries for the People’s Choice Award must be received no later than 5pm 1 May 2018. All completed consent documentation must be received no later than 5pm Monday 6 May 2018.
